Welcome to Uganda the Pearl of Africa: Upon arrival you shall be welcomed by an Otters
African Safaris guide at Entebbe International Airport from where you will transfer to your
booked accommodation for the night. Depending on your time of arrival at the airport, you
will have lunch before transferring to your hotel in Kampala for some rest as you prepare for
the ultimate Uganda Safari experience the following day.
After your early morning breakfast, you will be picked by an Otter African Safaris guide and
start your 4 to 5 hours journey to Murchison Falls National Park in Masindi in Western
Uganda. You will have a first stop over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola where you
will have an hour on-foot rhino tracking experience. After the rhino tracking experience you
will proceed to Masindi for lunch before proceeding to visit the top of Murchison Falls the
powerful falls where the Nile squeezes through an 8m wide gorge and plunges with a
thunderous roar into the Devil’s Cauldron creating a trademark rainbow.
From the falls you will continue in the park to check in the lodge.
Have your breakfast very early in the morning, depart for an early morning game drive as
early as 6am and head into the park and look out for view the different mammals such as
elephants, lions, leopards, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes and antelopes like Uganda kob,
topi, eland, bushbucks. You will have time to relax for lunch and after join the boat cruise to
take you to bottom of Murchison falls as you spot aquatic wildlife life such as hippos, Nile
crocodiles, and water birds. On return Catch up with sunset view before dinner and overnight
at the lodge.
After your morning breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and start your journey to Kibale
National Park in Fort Portal in Western Uganda through the tea plantations and rolling hills to
reach Fort portal town. While in Fort portal you will have an en-route lunch and continue your
journey to Kibale National Park. After checking into the lodge, you will embark on a guided
nature walk in the Bigodi wetlands and you have a chance to spot 138 bird species.
You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then report at the park headquarters
at Kanyanchu at 7:30am for briefing by the guides about the dos and don’ts while with the
chimpanzees. You will then embark on a trek for the search of the chimpanzees and once
you have spotted a group, you will spend one hour with them observing their different
behaviours and you will also spot other primates in the forest. After the chimpanzee tracking
experience you will be awarded a chimpanzee tracking certificate and after you will return to
the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will check out of the lodge and start the journey to Queen
Elizabeth National Park.
Have your breakfast very early in the morning, depart for an early morning game drive as
early as 6am to the rolling plains of Uganda’s second largest National Park and look out for:
lions, leopards, Jackson hartebeest, buffaloes, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards,
Uganda Kobs, oribis, and elephants. For any birder, there are quite a number of birds to
sight too during the drive. Return to the lodge for some rest time and lunch. After lunch at the
lodge, you will go for a 2-hour boat cruise trip on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes
George and Edward and you will surely be fascinated by the concentrations of giant hippos,
buffaloes, elephants and crocodiles among others . You will also see many varieties of birds
at the water shores. You will have dinner and overnight at the lodge .
After your early morning breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge in Queen Elizabeth
National Park and you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha
sector. You will have a game drive in the Ishasha sector and you will have a chance to see
the tree climbing lions that are seen resting in the fig trees. After that you will proceed to
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and you will have lunch along the way.
You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then report at the park headquarters
at 7:30am for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry
your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to
afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment. Gorilla tracking
exercise is physically demanding but an exciting activity! You may need to hire a porter to
assist you during tracking and these are readily available at the park headquarters. Time
allowed to spend with gorillas is 1 hour when you have found them and this is enough to ask
all the questions about their behaviour. Return to the lodge after tracking and freshen up. In
the evening, Batwa pygmies will be invited to entertain you with their dances, storytelling
after you have dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
After your morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National
Park and transfer to Mgahinga National Park. You will arrive at the resort where you will have
lunch and check in as you wait for the next days activity which is golden monkey tracking.

After your early morning breakfast, you will proceed to the visitors centre in Mgahinga
National Park at Ntebeko where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with the
golden monkeys. After the briefing you will then head inside the forest to search for the
golden monkeys and once you have identified a group, you will be given one hour to spend
with the monkeys watching their behaviours and you will take as many pictures as you want.
After the tracking, you will return to the resort for lunch and then you will check out of the
lodge and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale where you will check in to your room with the
view of the lake.
After your early morning breakfast, you will embark on canoeing on the beautiful lake of Lake
Bunyonyi that is about 900 metres deep and is made up of 29 islands. During this canoeing,
you will see the different islands on the lake including the famous punishment island. After
canoening you will have lunch at the lodge and check out and Transfer to Lake Mburo
National Park. You will reach the park in the evening and check in at the lodge.
After your morning breakfast, you will embark on a game drive in Lake Mburo National Park
as early as 7am with chances for seeings Giraffes, Zebras, Buffaloes, Elands, Oribis,
Jackson Hartebeest, Waterbucks, Warthogs, and if you so lucky you could spot leopards in
the rolling plains of the park. After the game drive you will have time to relax and have lunch.
In the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo and you will be able to spot
mammals like crocodiles, hippos and many bird species. After the boat cruise you will return
to the lodge and relax as you wait for dinner.
After your morning breakfast, you exit the park and set off to Kampala or ENTEBBE. Along
the way you will have a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for memorable photos and the
famous water experiment that show that earth is separated into the Northern and Southern
Hemisphere and you will have a chance to enjoy both the hemispheres. You will have an
en-route lunch and you continue your journey to Kampala or ENTEBBE.
